Our Mission

Aloha, thank you for surfing to this site! Some years ago at M4 Radio, I had a show that played only the music of Florida independents. It was heard in various incarnations over the course of time, including a marathon 11-hour block of live programming that I hosted called The Seventh Day. Streaming live over the internet every Sunday, we presented a buffet of music represented from Tallahassee to Miami, interviewed local bands in-studio and basically gave original music the sort of attention that it deserves.

We'd been looking at various technologies the past few years, looking for the right vessel, waiting for the right moment and as time would have it, we're here recording our first podcast. Funny how things work sometimes, but I'd rather laugh than cry.

Though we're calling this particular show All Florida Indies (which really tells it like it is, and also keeps us alphabetically near the top of search listings, sweet), it actually is an extension of World Wide Radio Renaissance (WWRR). With our first shows post-M4, we sought to establish our mission statement which was "support local original music." We were just one crew, one day a week, playing a certain amount of songs; we'd reach a topping-off point every month with so much more great music left unplayed. The idea was to get other netcasters to develop their own local Florida-state programs and we'd work around a common schedule that kept a pipeline for local music going eventually 24-7. WWRR in America would be situated as fifty separate "homes", one in each state, with a number of program hosts in different areas, capturing the essence of the region they're most familiar with.

That remains the dream, so it remains a possibility. If you're interested in becoming a part of the WWRR network, supporting local music for the love of it, please drop me a line.

If you're a band or performer that wishes to be part of our extensive library of Florida music, please send a hardcopy to:

also - MP3's can be sent to me at: bing@jobentertainment.com - length is no issue, and I'm not fussy about bitrates, but please keep them under 10mb if possible.

Here's to hoping that you'll discover what a diverse music scene we have here in Florida, most particularly here in the central region. It'll be a free-format show embracing dynamically different styles; no two shows will be the same. It's my personal invitation to you, take a wild ride through real Florida with me every week. I think you'll like it.

Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much!)
